Teresa enjoys the dynamic of financial consulting as it is different for each person and the life path they have traveled to where they are today. She loves the story that each of her clients share with her about why they are where they are, in life.
For the last 17 years, Teresa is well known for her client-first philosophy of listening and hearing what's most important for each client. Understanding their ideal future outcome with great potential and promise!
Her focus within her clients' financial consulting includes tax-advantaged planning and tax-efficient savings for retirement, risk minimization, lifetime lifestyle income and comprehensive financial strategies. Whether this be with federal government, state or municipal public service employees or sales executives and business owners, they all have one thing in common: They're busy and need to collaborate with a financial partner they can trust, who is genuine. Teresa also has an affinity for helping women and their families plan for their future.
She helps them to orchestrate lifetime lifestyle income between both asset location and asset allocation, creating a life by design, rather than default in retirement. Helping to ensure their ideal lifestyle remains present throughout their lifetime, in the event they need to change course at any time by choice, chance or unfortunate circumstances, prior to retirement.
She made a career change in 2006 after working in public service, seeing many people and communities affected by a lack of planning and advanced preparation. She believes in full orchestration of one's entire financial model, utilizing estate planning, risk minimization, as well as a proper wealth accumulation, investing strategies, tax planning and an advanced retirement and lifestyle distribution strategies.
Ideally, that accommodates each area of life, as this is the vital foundation of the planning she performs. In partnering with her, each client has access in knowing how to employ these strategies within their own financial model.
In 2023 Teresa founded Affinity Planning Partners to ensure she could continue to carry forward the legacy she had committed to her clients since 2006. Empowering other financial professionals to do the same with their clients under her umbrella of Affinity Planning Partners. Creating a team of planning partners to positively impact generations to come!
She is passionate about networking and helping to positively impact others! Why? Teresa enjoys to pay-it-forward. Her tenure within this industry spans the country the providing her with great perspective and expertise in working with people of diverse backgrounds.
Teresa lives in Metro Atlanta with her husband, their son and three dachshunds. She has a passion for helping others through genuine networking and loves to have a pay it forward mentality, connecting people to places. Terea enjoys helping children with resources to realize their strengths to propel them into the mindset that anything is possible! She enjoys time with her family and friends, traveling and making the most out of life, each and every single day.
She was recognized in 2022 in the Top Women advisors of Atlanta and was also a nominee for Women Working in Wealth for 2022 through the American College for Financial Services. In 2019 she was also a nominee for The North Shore Chicago Woman in Business Award. She served on the NAIFA Georgia State Board as a Vice President for 2022 and continues to do so for 2023.
In 2022 Teresa was awarded with the Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP®) Designation Scholarship by The American College as she continues to bring the pursuit of education and outstanding financial planning to each client.
Given in 2022 & 2023, the annual NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) Top Women Advisors of Atlanta is based on years in the industry and sales metrics, including assets under management, insurance sales, professional designations held, and participation in NAIFA programs.
